Establishment of Building Performance Standards

Overview

Through comprehensive investigation, research, evaluation, verification, and certification required for the performance enhancement of domestic building products, the Institute realizes a performance-centered building production process. By widely disseminating and utilizing these results, it fosters a sound building culture, enhances the safety of public life, and serves the public interest.

To achieve this, Article 4 (1) of the Articles of Association stipulates research and development for the building performance grade and evaluation system and its support, while Article 4 (2) stipulates the establishment of standards and the implementation of evaluations for the system.

Implementation Method

To improve the performance of each field, the Institute conducts systematic investigation, research, evaluation, and verification. Based on these, it establishes building performance evaluation guidelines, sets standards in accordance with the guidelines, and carries out performance grade certification.
